A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him He asked, ‘What are all those clocks?’

St. Peter answered, ‘Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock move.’

‘Oh’, said the man. ‘Whose clock is that?’ ‘That’s Mother Teresa’s', replied St. Peter. ‘The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.’

‘Incredible’, said the man. ‘And whose clock is that one?’ St. Peter responded, ‘That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life.’

‘Where’s Gordon Brown’s clock?’ asked the man.

‘Brown’s clock is in Jesus’s office. He’s using it as a ceiling fan.’

Its now official, Gordon Brown is the worst prime minister ever!
His handling of everything he is involved in is a shambles.
There is not one thing that Gordon Brown and new labour has touched that has turned out to be successful.
I have just read that our deficit is almost reaching 7% GDP translated this means they have borrowed over 90 billion pounds which is increasing by the minute. This figure is almost as bad as when Dennis Healey had to ask the IMF to bail us out.
With up to 2 years still to go before the next election Gordon Brown’s new labour will have surpassed even Dennis Healey’s deficit.
There has never ever been a labour government that has left office with the economy in better shape than when they took up office.
Gordon Brown is not going to buck the trend.
Lets hope that he is replaced before the next election and the new Prime Minister calls a snap election to gain a mandate to govern.
This is our only hope for the start of a rescue of our economy and all that goes with it like housing, national health service and education.
What a shambles!

Gordon Brown must be sorry for ever dreaming that one day “he who would be king” would be Prime Minsiter.
I can never remember the country and economy being in such a bad way.
So much for his good stewardship of the economy over the past ten years. If the economy was in such good shape why has it folded like a pack of playing cards since Gordon has been in the hot seat?
The truth is that he had been very lucky over the years he was at number two, when the world’s economy was booming. He didn’t need to do anything, it was all done for him by the other players.
Now it it clear he hasn’t got a clue, character or temperament to be leading this country.
I say do the brave thing and call a general election now before things get any worse. At least he will be remembered as being brave.
This is wishful thinking as he will hold on with his fragmented finger nails to the last possible minute.
I can not remember a worse Prime Minister and that includes John Major. And that’s saying something!

If Dr Williams did actually say this, and there is some small doubt about this, then he needs to put his hands up and admit he has made a huge error of judgment.
Before going any further perhaps he would be wiser to stick more closely to what he should be doing and stop meddling in matters which do not concern him i.e. “Politics”.
Recently, I have been reading about Sharia law as practiced by the Saudi’s. It is extremely barbaric and firmly stuck in the Middle Ages.
I have just read an article in the Times describing how “Sandy Mitchell”, a Briton was condemned to death in Saudi Arabia on trumped-up charges. It revealed that he was sentenced to partial beheading and then crucifixion. He was told by his Saudi lawyer that the sentence called for the victim’s head to be “partially” severed and the body fixed to an X-shaped cross in public view for three days. Mitchell was one of six Britons arrested in Riyadh after a series of bomb attacks on westerners three years ago.
They were released last month after interventions by the British government and the Prince of Wales.
Speaking for the first time since his release, Mitchell, 44, said yesterday that he was tortured into confessing crimes that he had not committed. Mitchell said he was forced to stand for nine days, chained with his hands above his head and prevented from sleeping. Each night he was tethered hand and foot and suspended with a metal bar behind his legs to expose his buttocks and the soles of his feet. He was beaten with an axe handle until he gave the “right” answer.
To read more click on this link:-http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article1156275.ece.
Is this the sort of barbaric law and punishment we want to see in Britain? I know this is an extreme example but the general public should be made aware of what could happen if Sharia law was allowed to be practiced here and its sentences carried out.
At the moment both Jews and Muslims are able to seek justice through their own religious courts but at all times British law takes precedent.
There seems to be one law for the rich and one law for the poor. Now Dr Williams wants to add Sharia Law as well. This is yet another nail in the coffin for the British people who have had to suffer a dilution of essential services.
The quality and availability of the Health Service, Education, Law and Order, Transport and Policing in this country at the hands of New Labour for the last ten years have all been diminished.
The cost of living is rising several times faster than the “official rate of inflation”.
What is wrong with the saying “When in Rome do as the Romans”?
If we emigrated to another country we would be expected to fit into their society and would not be allowed to take it over.
There is no way in a million years that another country would tolerate a dilution of its identity and the adoption of foreign ideals and institutions. Yet this is what is being done and proposed in Britain.
Political correctness is out of control and it’s time to put an end to the “Human Rights Act”.
Let’s get out of Europe and once again stand tall and be counted on the world stage. I can’t see it happening in my life time if ever at all.
Too much damage has already been done by Tony Blair and the Labour government.
Unfortunately, and sadly Britain is a shadow of its former self.
Is it no wonder that more Britons are leaving the country than people coming to live here?
If this trend continues and there is no reason for it to slow down or stop without a major sea change then the Archbishop of Canterbury will have been proven right.

I get the distinct impression that the majority of people in England are absolutely fed up with politics and especially Gordon Brown and the Labour Government. As a Chancellor of the Exchequer he was almost bearable but as Prime Minster he is appalling. He just doesn’t seem right for the job and no one now believes a word he or his cronies say. We are supposed to be living in a democracy but politicians do whatever they like regardless of public opinion. There’s no need to list the multitude of unpopular decisions made by Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and the government. However, it is worth mentioning the war in Iraq. I didn’t meet one person who was in favour of this illegal war, except it must be said for a group of “gung ho” US marines who couldn’t wait to fight another war. Public opinion was hugely against the war and ordinary people demonstrated on the streets of London against it. The only other time I witnessed such a public outcry was against the Poll Tax imposed by Margaret Thatcher. The Poll Tax was reversed but the war in Iraq goes on. There is so much social injustice and poverty in this country. It is a criminal act of the highest order to be spending huge amounts of money on this illegal war. The country just can’t afford it. Our armed forces have had their budgets cut year on year and they are still expected to operate as if we were a major force in the world. Equipment, living conditions and pay are all below the levels that they should be. Is it no wonder morale is at an all time low? It is symptomatic of the Governments bad management and its disdain for the electorate. Education, health, policing and social order have all suffered at the hands of New Labour. Taxes are at an all time high and the cost of living is punitive. Government’s handling of personal information cannot be trusted with the massive security leaks being announced daily. And yet Gordon Brown insists on moving ahead with Identity Cards. He must be having a laugh. We are being denied a vote on whether to accept the EU’s new constitution and now even MP’s are being denied a proper debate on the this incredibly important treaty. Gradually, bit by bit all our rights and decisions are being made for us in Brussels by faceless men and women unelected by the British electorate. I say enough is enough and there should now be an immediate election so that the British people can decide who they want to run this country and whether to cow tow to the faceless bureaucrats of Brussels.
